INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF PROPOSAL AND ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A BUILDING AND A BUILDING ADDITION AT THE INGHAM COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS.

RESOLUTION #00-004

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Fairgrounds is in need of a replacement building and building addition; and

WHEREAS, Resolution #99-287 authorized an adjustment to the 1999 Capital Improvement Budget for the replacement of five block buildings with a new building and building addition; and

WHEREAS, proposals were solicited and evaluated by Ingham County Purchasing and Properties Department and it is their recommendation with concurrence of the Ingham County Fair Board and Manager, to award a contract to Schneeberger Builders, the firm submitting the lowest responsive proposal in the amount of $131,000.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby approves the award of proposal and authorizes entering into a contract with Schneeberger Builders in the amount of $131,000, for construction of the new building and building addition to be done at the Ingham County Fairgrounds.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the County Attorney to prepare the necessary documents with the Board Chairperson and the County Clerk authorized to sign the same.
