RESOLUTION TO ADJUST THE BREAST AND CERVICAL CANCER CONTROL PROGRAM FEE SCHEDULE

RESOLUTION #00-011

WHEREAS, Ingham County operates the Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program (BCCCP) in an eight county area; and

WHEREAS, the regional BCCCP Program will annually screen about 3,500 low-income women over 40 years of age for breast and cervical cancer and make referrals for diagnosis and treatment when necessary; and

WHEREAS, the State of Michigan annually establishes the Cost Reimbursement Rate Schedule for screening and diagnostic procedures conducted under the BCCCP Program; and

WHEREAS, the State has issued a FY 2000 BCCCP Unit Cost Reimbursement Rate Schedule; and

WHEREAS, the Health Officer has recommended that the Board of Commissioners adopt the new rate schedule.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners adopts the FY 2000 BCCCP Unit Cost Reimbursement Rate Schedule established by the State of Michigan and attached to this resolution.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the revised schedule shall be effective on January 1, 2000.
