Introduced by the Administrative Services/Personnel and Finance Committees of the:

INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

WHEREAS, the rate of pay for budget analyst interns has not been adjusted since 1991, and

WHEREAS, budget analyst interns contribute significantly to the preparation of the annual county budget, and by providing assistance with special projects as needed by the Controller= s office and other departments; and

WHEREAS, an increase in the rate of pay will improve efforts to recruit qualified candidates, and the proposed increase will not require additional funds, as the number of hours worked by budget analyst interns will be reduced as necessary to stay within the budget for temporary salaries; and

WHEREAS, the level of education and experience, and the year of matriculation of budget analyst intern candidates varies between graduate and undergraduate programs.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the rate of pay for budget analyst interns be increased by $0.50 per hour, effective immediately.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that separate pay schedules are hereby established for undergraduate and graduate budget analyst interns as follows:
