INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

WHEREAS, canine A Maverick@ has been assigned to Deputy David Roe for the past five years, working in the Ingham County Sheriff= s Office Canine Program; and

WHEREAS, Deputy David Roe has transferred out of the Ingham County Sheriff= s Office Canine Program; and

WHEREAS, the Michigan State Police is able to use A Maverick@ in their Canine Program; and

WHEREAS, it would not be in the best interest of the dog to re-train a new handler to A Maverick@ .

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Ingham County Sheriff= s office to assign A Maverick@ to the Michigan State Police.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners thanks Deputy David Roe and A Maverick@ for their dedicated years to the citizens of Ingham County.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Ingham County Sheriff= s Office to complete all necessary paperwork to make the transfer of A Maverick@ to the Michigan State Police.
