Introduced by the Human Services and Finance Committees of the:

INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

WHEREAS, a group of East Indian physicians in an effort to demonstrate their support for the Health Department= s work to provide access to care to low-income, uninsured persons, has offered a $3,000 donation to the Sparrow Health Center; and

WHEREAS, the staff at the Health Center have recommended that the funds be used to purchase a Vital Signs Monitor and a computer; and

WHEREAS, the Health Officer recommends that the Board of Commissioners accept the donation, amend the 2000 budget and authorize the expenditure to purchase the equipment items.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners accepts the $3,000 donation to the Health Department.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board authorizes the Controller to adjust the Health Department= s 2000 budget by increasing revenue and expenses by $3,000.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board authorizes the expenditure of the $3,000 to support the purchase of a Vital Signs Monitor and a computer.
