Introduced by the Law & Courts, Administrative Services/Personnel and Finance Committees of the:

INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

WHEREAS, the current contract for elevator maintenance on the four hydraulic passenger elevators at various County facilities has expired; and

WHEREAS, the funds for this contract are budgeted and available within the various maintenance contractual line items; and

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department has solicited and reviewed proposals for a five-year full-service elevator maintenance agreement for the four (4) hydraulic passenger elevators at the following locations: two (2) at the Ingham County Jail, one (1) in the Ingham County Courthouse, and one (1) in the Hilliard Building; and

WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Purchasing Department that Millar Elevator Service Company who submitted the lowest responsive proposal for all locations for the following annual amounts: 1st year $5,040.00, 2nd year $5241.60, 3rd year $5451.24, 4th year $5669.28, 5th year $5895.96 for a total five-year cost of $27,298.08 be awarded the full-service elevator maintenance contract.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes entering into a five-year contract with Millar Elevator Service Company, 4600 North Grand River Suite D, Lansing, Michigan 48906 for full-service elevator maintenance for four (4) hydraulic passenger elevators located at various County facilities for a total five-year cost of $27,298.08.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the County Attorney to prepare the necessary documents with the Board Chairperson and County Clerk to sign the same.
