RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE OFFICE OF DRUG CONTROL POLICY FOR FY 2000-2001 FUNDING FOR THE HAYFORD STREET CLINIC PROJECT

RESOLUTION #00-232

WHEREAS, the Community Corrections Advisory Board will continue administration of the Project Sentry Program and the Hayford Street Clinic Project for the 2000-2001 fiscal year through a grant from the Office of Drug Control Policy and client fees generated by these programs; and

WHEREAS, grant funds have been awarded in the amount of $158,590 by the Office of Drug Control Policy for to fund the 2000-2001 Hayford Street Clinic (juvenile drug screening services); and

WHEREAS, the Project Sentry Program budget in the amount of $ 264,317 (adult drug screening services) is to be funded entirely by client fees generated by the Program.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approves entering into a contract with the Office of Drug Control Policy in the amount of $396,476, of which $158,590 are federal grant funds, with $237,886 in local match to be generated by client fees; for the period of October 1, 2000 through September 30, 2001.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Project Sentry Program in the amount of $264,317 generated by client fees is to be continued for the period of October 1, 2000 through September 30, 2001 with the revenue that is generated by Program client fees.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the current Project Director, Administrative Specialist, Clerk Typist III, Lead Collections Monitor, 7 Collections Monitors, and 3 Screening Referral Specialists, and one .5 Support Systems Clerk are to be continued subject to the availability of grant funds and/or client fees.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller is authorized to amend the 2000 and 2001 budgets and position allocation lists in accordance with this resolution, and that the Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners and the County Clerk are authorized to sign any necessary contract documents with the Office of Drug Control Policy consistent with this resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.
