RESOLUTION HONORING DR. RICHARD GRIFFIN

RESOLUTION #00-283

WHEREAS, Dr. Richard Griffin began seeing patients at the Ingham County Jail on April 8, 1991; and

WHEREAS, during that time, Dr. Griffin examined 12, 400 patients and spent 3,760 hours at the jail; and

WHEREAS, as the Jail Physician, he received countless number of phone calls from medical and corrections staff at all hours of the day and night, continuing to provide direction for inmate health care; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Griffin is a very well respected mentor and member of the health team at the jail who has dedicated his career and life to patient care in a manner that is not equaled by many; and

WHEREAS, after ten years of dedicated service, Dr. Richard Griffin is retiring from his position as physician at the Ingham County Jail.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honor Dr. Richard Griffin for his many years of dedicated service to the County of Ingham.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board wishes him continued success in all of his future endeavors.
