Introduced by the Human Services and Finance Committees of the:

INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Health Department is a provider of dental services to low-income, uninsured persons and persons insured by the Medicaid program; and

WHEREAS, the number of services will expand with the opening of the dental clinic authorized by Resolution 00-116 and amended by Resolution 00-219; and

WHEREAS, these services are funded by payments from the Medicaid Program; and

WHEREAS, the Medicaid Program has revised procedure codes, revised procedure descriptions and increased the payments for dental services and the County must adjust its dental fee schedules in order to capture the available revenue; and

WHEREAS, the Health Department has constructed a new fee schedule, based on a survey of provider payments to the community from Delta Dental Plan of Michigan; and

WHEREAS, the Health Officer recommends that the Board of Commissioners authorize the new Dental Fee Schedule.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners adopts the attached Dental Fee Schedule, with fees effective July 1, 2000.
