Introduced by the Administrative Services/Personnel and Finance Committees of the:

INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Parks Department maintains and operates the property known as Lake Lansing Park~South; and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approved the collection of entry fees at the county parks during the budget process, including Lake Lansing Park~South; and

WHEREAS, the Parks Department has developed a plan to implement a fee collection system; and

WHEREAS, the plan calls for the installation of perimeter fencing at Lake Lansing Park~South, which is necessary to limit access to the park to specific entrances; and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Purchasing Department solicited sealed bids for the project; and

WHEREAS, funding for the project will come from revenue generated from entry fee collection.

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners in its 2000 budget included anticipated revenue from park entrance fees.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby approves the award of the proposal and authorizes entering into a contract with R & R Fence, Inc. in the amount of $30,555.00.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the contract is contingent on passing a fee schedule for entrance fees which will necessitate such a fence.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the County Attorney to prepare the necessary documents, with the Board Chairperson and County Clerk authorized to sign the same.
