Introduced by the Administrative Services/Personnel and Finance Committees of the:

INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

WHEREAS, Ingham County purchased the Eagle Computer CRIS++ Software and installed this software last summer and fall for the Register of Deeds and the Clerk= s Office= s; and

WHEREAS, the Eagle Computer System CRIS++ Software, does not contain an web enabled front end for viewing by individuals or corporations over the Internet; and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County MIS Director, has reviewed the Forsberg Multimedia Corporation proposal for the development of the web enabled front end processor and the MIS Director has contacted and discussed with Eagle Computer Systems, the status of their efforts in this area, is non existent at this time; and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County MIS Director, believes the Forsberg Multimedia Corporation proposal is more in line with the direction Ingham County wishes to proceed at this time.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Ingham County Board of Commissioner= s approves a contract with Forsberg Multimedia Incorporated, at a cost not to exceed $65,000 to develop and handle web enable transactions for both of these departments with the exclusion of credit card transactions, which may require separate funding. The additional hardware costs will be covered by the MIS Department for the server associated with this project.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the monies to cover the cost of this contract are requested from the Contingency Fund and maybe paid back at a later date, if we are able to enter into a joint marketing agreement with Forsberg Multimedia Corporation, to other Eagle Computer System counties using the CRIS ++ Software.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Chairperson of the Board of Commissioner= s and the County Clerk are authorized to sign the appropriate paperwork pending approval by the County Attorney.
