Introduced by the Administrative Services/Personnel and Finance Committees of the:

INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

WHEREAS, the Purchasing & Properties Department has determined that the County has a large amount of surplus items to be held for a public auction; and

WHEREAS, the County of Ingham has an agreement with Heritage Auction Firm for Consignment Auctioneer Services and the Auctioneer is available to hold a public auction on County premises for the purpose of this auction; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing & Properties has reviewed the surplus items before placement on the surplus property list, and County Departments will be allowed to view surplus items for usefulness before the public auction; and

WHEREAS, a list of all items to be disposed of shall be placed before the Administrative Services/Personnel Committee for their approval and the final list will be placed on file with the County Clerk.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Purchasing & Properties Department is authorized to place in an auction those surplus items which have no further use or value to the County of Ingham.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that any items not sold at the auction may be disposed of by the Purchasing & Properties Director in the manner deemed to be in the County= s best interest.
