Introduced by the Administrative Services/Personnel, and Finance Committees of the:

INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

WHEREAS, the existing water conditioning system at the Ingham County Correctional Facility is deteriorating due to the age of the system and is in need of replacement; and

WHEREAS, the funds for replacement of this system have been approved and budgeted within the Capital Improvements Plan; and

WHEREAS, the Purchasing & Properties Department solicited and reviewed proposals for the replacement of the existing water conditioning system at the Ingham County Correctional Facility; and

WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Purchasing & Properties Department that a contract be awarded to Culligan Water Conditioning of Lansing, Inc. who submitted the lowest responsive proposal in the amount of $24,616.60 which includes removal and disposal of the existing system and the purchase and complete installation of a new Trusco Triplex Water Conditioning System as specified at the Ingham County Correctional Facility.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes entering into a contract with Culligan Water Conditioning of Lansing, Inc., 3460 Dunckel Road, Lansing, Michigan 48911 to provide removal and disposal of existing water system and the purchase and complete installation of a new Trusco Triplex Water Conditioning System at the Ingham County Correctional Facility for a total cost of $24,616.60.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the County Attorney to prepare the necessary documents with the Board Chairperson and County Clerk to sign the same.
