Introduced by the Law & Courts and Finance Committees of the:

INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

WHEREAS, Sheriff Wriggelsworth and the Ingham County Sheriff= s Office were developing a A Gun Lock Give-Away Program@ ; and

WHEREAS, monies were needed to purchase gun locks for this program; and

WHEREAS, Mr. John Causie and Causie Contracting, Inc. recognized the need to purchase gun locks for citizens in Ingham County; and

WHEREAS, Causie Contracting, Inc. was interested in donating $5,000.00 to the Ingham County Sheriff= s Office to purchase gun locks to be given away to citizens; and

WHEREAS, the A Gun Lock Give Away@ Program will be established in the various Sheriff= s Offices throughout Ingham County to include the Clerk= s Office.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Ingham County Sheriff= s Office to accept $5,000.00 from Mr. John Causie and Causie Contracting, Inc.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners recognizes this donation will be for the purchase of gun locks to be given away to citizens throughout Ingham County.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners and Sheriff= s Office thanks Mr. John Causie and Causie Contracting, Inc. for the thoughtful donation.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Controller to make the necessary budget adjustments to place the $5,000.00 in the Sheriff= s Office 2000 Budget, specifically Line Item 101-30102-726010.
