INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A 2002-2003 TEEN HEALTH CENTER GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE LANSING SCHOOL DISTRICT

RESOLUTION #03-74

WHEREAS, the State of Michigan has contributed funding to support the Otto Middle School Health Center Program for about 10 years; and

WHEREAS, the state funds to support these services are now placed in the Michigan Department of Education budget and have to be contracted to a school district; and

WHEREAS, the Lansing School District has agreed to act as the contracting agent, passing the funds on to Ingham County through an agreement; and

WHEREAS, the Health Officer has advised that these funds are anticipated in the Health Department's 2003 budget and has recommended that the Board of Commissioners authorize the Agreement with the Lansing School District.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes a Teen Health Center Grant Agreement with the Lansing School District.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the period of the Agreement shall be October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Lansing School District shall contribute $120,625, to the operation of the Otto Middle School Health Center for the agreement period.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson is authorized to sign the Agreement after review by the County Attorney.
