RESOLUTION HONORING ANTHONY WORTH
RESOLUTION #01-123
WHEREAS, Anthony Worth graduated from Williamston High School in June of 2000 and is currently an Apprentice Electrician; and
WHEREAS, during his four years in high school, he was on the honor roll and a member of the marching, concert and jazz bands; and
WHEREAS, Anthony was also active in basketball and track in high school, during which time he earned a varsity letter for basketball; and
WHEREAS, Anthony has served in a number of leadership roles during his years with the scouts, including Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader, Junior Assistant Scoutmaster and is currently Assistant Scoutmaster; and.
WHEREAS, he began his Scouting Career as a Cub Scout , after earning the Arrow of Light he joined Boy Scout Troop #63 and has earned 21 Merit Badges, and
WHEREAS, Anthony is a Brotherhood Member of the Order of the Arrow, in 1997 he spent a week sailing on the Great Lakes on the Prevailing Winds and attended Philmont Scout Ranch in 1998, he has also earned his God and Country Award, and completed the Junior Leader Training course; and
WHEREAS, Anthony has recently earned the highest rank attainable in Scouting, the Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS, to achieve the Eagle rank, a scout must demonstrate leadership and citizenship while earning 21 merit badges before reaching the age of 18.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners congratulate Anthony Worth for earning the rank of Eagle Scout and extend its sincere appreciation to Anthony for serving as a positive role model for the youth in our community.
