RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A FUND TRANSFER FROM THE PARKS DEPARTMENT BUDGET TO THE HAWK ISLAND PROJECT

RESOLUTION #01-139

WHEREAS, a master plan has been created to guide the future development of Hawk Island County Park; and

WHEREAS, sealed bids were solicited for the final three contracts associated with the project and the sum of the low bids exceeded the amount remaining in the project budget; and

WHEREAS, the 2001 operating costs for Hawk Island are projected to be substantially less than budgeted; and

WHEREAS, the Parks Board has recommended a transfer within the existing 2001 Parks Department budget in order to allow completion of the project.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners authorize a transfer of the Parks Department general fund appropriation in the amount of $156,000.00 from the Parks Department 208 Maintenance and Operating Fund to the 450 Capital Improvement Fund, Hawk Island Construction.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller is authorized to make the necessary budget adjustments.
