RESOLUTION TO ADOPT THE INGHAM COUNTY PARKS FACILITY

MASTER PLAN

RESOLUTION #01-247

WHEREAS, in 1998, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners adopted a revised County Parks Master Plan for Ingham County; and

WHEREAS, the Parks Facility Master Plan is intended to provide general guidelines for the orderly development of the County Park system; and

WHEREAS, in order to remain eligible for state and federal grant programs it is necessary that the Parks Facility Master Plan be updated every five years; and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Parks Board recommends to the Ingham County Board of Commissioners that the 2001 Ingham County Parks Facility Master Plan be approved.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners adopts the 2001 Ingham County Parks Facility Master Plan as presented by the Ingham County Parks Board with the recommended technical changes as identified by staff.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the goals and objectives for 2002 through 2006, as stated in the Master Plan, shall be construed as desirable goals only with no implied commitment on the part of the Board of Commissioners to fund any particular recommendation contained therein.
