INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION TO REPLACE LOST FUNDS AND TO PAY FOR TIRE RECYCLING

RESOLUTION #01-260

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Health Department sponsored a tire collection and recycling program; and

WHEREAS, the Cole Tire Company agreed to transport and recycle the tires for a fee, and such fees were collected from customers at the drop off site; and

WHEREAS, upon payment to Cole Tire Company, a portion ($365.50) of the cash collections were missing; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Financial Services has reviewed cash handling procedures and issued a report and recommendations; and

WHEREAS, the Health Officer and the CFO/Health have reviewed the report and have agreed to implement the recommendations.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approves a charge of $365.50 against the Health Department, Environmental Health supply line item to compensate Cole Tire Company for recycling services.
