INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE

REPLACEMENT OF THE LAKE LANSING BOAT LAUNCH RAMP

RESOLUTION #01-297

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Parks Department owns and operates the Lake Lansing Boat Launch; and

WHEREAS, a grant from the Department of Natural Resources was approved (SB 99-1) for the replacement of the ramp at the Lake Lansing Boat Launch Ramp in an amount not to exceed $27,000; and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approved funding of the required local match for the grant in an amount not to exceed $9,000 from contingency fund #10194100969220 in Resolution #00-031; and

WHEREAS, sealed bids were solicited and evaluated by the Purchasing Department and it is their recommendation, with the concurrence of the Parks Department, to award the contract to Cross Lake Construction, Inc., the firm submitting the lowest bid.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby accepts the bid, and authorizes entering into a contract with Cross Lake Construction, Inc. of Horton, Michigan in an amount not to exceed $29,020.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson and County Clerk are authorized to sign the necessary contract after approval as to form by the County Attorney.
