RESOLUTION TO CREATE A HELP DESK SPECIALIST POSITION IN THE MIS

DEPARTMENT

RESOLUTION #01-346

WHEREAS, the retirement of the night computer operator, Carolyn Worden, has created a vacancy in Management Information Services Department; and

WHEREAS, Management Information Services Department no longer needs a night computer operator, because Friend of Court is now being processed through the CSES by the State of Michigan; and

WHEREAS, Management Information Services Department has shifted the remaining operations personnel to cover mainframe processing; and

WHEREAS, the Management Information Services Department is in need of an additional staff person to assist with the increasing work load on the network and personal computer side; and

WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Management Information Services Department Director that creating a Help Desk Specialist position will provide better service with additional functions to county computer users.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Help Desk Specialist position be created in the Management Information Services Department Department at a salary grade of I.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller's Office is authorized to make the necessary budget changes consistent with this resolution.
