RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONTRACT WITH LANSING FOR EMERGENCY DISPATCH STATION ALERTING SYSTEM EQUIPMENT
RESOLUTION #01-75
WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners has established a 911 Emergency Telephone Dispatch Services fund for Management and System Improvements to the County emergency dispatch system; and
WHEREAS, the Lansing 911 Center working with their Fire Department and communications, companies have developed a proposal to replace their Fire Stations alerting systems; and
WHEREAS, the 911 Advisory Board is recommending that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners fund this request from the 911 Emergency Telephone Dispatch Services fund for Management and System Improvements fund.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the expenditure of up to $80,518.00 from the 911 Emergency Telephone Dispatch Services fund for Management and System Improvements for the Lansing 911 Center.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners request that the 911 Advisory Board, prior to making any other funding requests to the Board of Commissioners, develop for consideration by the Board of Commissioners a proposed policy defining appropriate uses of the proceeds of the 911 millage and surcharge.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chairperson of the Ingham County Board of Commissioners and the County Clerk are authorized to sign any necessary contract documents consistent with this resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.
