INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS



RESOLUTION HONORING JUNE MOORE



RESOLUTION #01-78



WHEREAS, June Moore began her employment with the County of Ingham over 20 years ago; and



WHEREAS, during her years of service she served as a Shelter Home Attendant, Juvenile Home Attendant, Casework Aide and Casework Assistant; and worked at various locations such as the Ingham County Shelter Home, Okemos Group Home, Ingham County Probate Court, currently known as the Ingham County Family Court; and



WHEREAS, June taught at-risk youth coping skills at the shelter home and group home, as a Caseworker she aided in transporting minors to and from court appointments, supervised parental visits, monitored clients in the home and assisted with special events and activities; and



WHEREAS, she helped to develop a children's group program within the intensive neglect program, planned activities, and played a major role in obtaining donations annually to support the program which had no other means of financial support; and



WHEREAS, June is an African-American woman who was born in Jamaica and was trained as a nurse in England, she brought her unique talents to the court where her generosity to the court employees, program clients and Ingham County community contacts would be long remembered; and



WHEREAS, June Moore will be retiring from her position at the Family Court on April 1, 2001.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honor June Moore for her many years of dedicated service to the County of Ingham and its citizens.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board wishes her continued success in all of her future endeavors.
