RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 00-262 AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF COMPUTER EQUIPMENT FOR THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION #01-82

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 00-262 authorized the purchase of computer equipment for the Board of Commissioners; and

WHEREAS, the intent of that resolution is to provide off-site computer access to the Board of Commissioners via laptop computers, or stand alone desk top units as the individual case might be; and

WHEREAS, the abundant amount of telephone usage by Commissioners for official business, combined with the use of telephone lines for accessing the County's website and email has in some cases caused a great inconvenience on the households of Commissioners with one telephone line and made it difficult for County staff to conduct County business; and

WHEREAS, in some cases, the cost for the on-line services has been provided and now there is an additional need for the provision of data line services.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners amend Resolution No. 00-262, to provide that a Commissioner, upon request and documentation, shall be reimbursed up to $75 per quarter for the monthly expense of an additional communications line.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners further amends Resolution No. 00-262, to provide that the reimbursement authorized in this amendment is contingent upon the Commissioner waiving agenda packets.
