INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT A GRANT FROM MICHIGAN SHERIFFS' ASSOCIATION EDUCATION SERVICES, INC.

RESOLUTION #01-92

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office applied for a grant for the Ingham County Sheriff's Office Crime Services Unit; and

WHEREAS, the Michigan Sheriffs' Association Education Services, Inc. has made an award in the amount of $2,361.10 to pay for pagers and printed material; and

WHEREAS, acceptance of the grant will not have any impact on the Ingham County Sheriff's Office Budget, nor will there be any additional funds needed for a match.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Ingham County Sheriff's Office to accept the grant from the Michigan Sheriffs' Association Education Services, Inc. in the amount of $2,361.10 for the time period of January 1, 2001 through December 31, 2001.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Sheriff's Office is authorized to use the grant funds to pay for pagers and printed material for the volunteer Victim Services Unit of the Ingham County Sheriff's Office.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Board Chairperson and the County Clerk to sign any necessary contract documents that are consistent with this resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners directs the Controller to make the necessary budget adjustments in the Ingham County Sheriff's Office 2001 budget.
