INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION ENTERING INTO A THREE-YEAR CONTRACT WITH AT&T FOR LOCAL, LONG DISTANCE, AND 800 NUMBER TELEPHONE SERVICES

RESOLUTION #98-10

WHEREAS, the MIS Department requested proposals from various vendors of local and long distance services to submit rates for local, long distance, and 800 services for Ingham County; and

WHEREAS, it is most economical for Ingham County to enter into a multi year agreement with a long-distance provider; and

WHEREAS, AT&T submitted the lowest proposal that met the criteria set forth in the request now.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approves entering into a three-year contract with AT&T for local and long distance services including intralata, intrastate, interstate, and 800 services and directory assistance at the rate specified in the AT&T proposal.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this contract may be extended in one-year increments for a total of five years if the rates remain favorable to Ingham County.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the contract is subject to the approval as to form by the County Attorney and that the County Clerk and the Board Chairperson are authorized to sign all documents relevant to this contract.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Controller is authorized to make the necessary budget adjustments.
