RESOLUTION APPROVING ENTERING INTO AN AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE A CONCESSION FOR KAYAK RENTAL AT LAKE LANSING PARK SOUTH

RESOLUTION #98-107

WHEREAS, Freestyle Sports desires to lease space at Lake Lansing Park South to provide kayak rentals and lessons to Lake Lansing Park patrons; and

WHEREAS, the lease is for the 1998 season only providing an opportunity for both parties to evaluate the feasibility of providing this service on a long-term basis; and

WHEREAS, the provision of kayak rentals and lessons will provide expanded recreational opportunities for the visitors at Lake Lansing Park South; and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Parks Board has recommended approval of the lease agreement.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approves this Agreement with Freestyle Sports for kayak rental and lessons at Lake Lansing Park South.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the County Attorney to prepare the necessary documents with the Board Chairperson and the County Clerk authorized to sign the same.
