INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

AUTHORIZATION TO SUPPORT THE TRAVEL OF CHAIRPERSON SIMS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE NATIONAL ORGANIZATION OF BLACK COUNTY OFFICIALS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE

RESOLUTION #98-116

WHEREAS, Chairperson Linda Sims participates actively in the activities of the National Association of Counties and in the affiliated National Association of Black County Officials (NOBCO); and

WHEREAS, NOBCO is sponsoring the 14th annual Economic Development Conference, May 13, 1998 through May 17, 1998 in Birmingham, Alabama; and

WHEREAS, the agenda for the Economic Development Conference contains many public health related topics, including sessions on the proposed tobacco settlement, youth and environmental issues; and

WHEREAS, the Health Officer has indicated his interest in supporting Chairperson Sim's participation in the Summit.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the travel funds made available to Chairperson Sims through Resolution No. 97-257 shall be increased by $500 from line item number 221 60120 861110 in the Health Fund.
