INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS



RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ANNUAL INGHAM COUNTY PICNIC



RESOLUTION #98-119



WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has appointed an Ingham County Wellness Committee to promote healthy activities for Ingham County employees; and



WHEREAS, the Ingham County Wellness Committee is recommending that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorize an annual Ingham County Picnic funded with commissions from the use of vending machines and public phones located on County properties; and



WHEREAS, the County Attorney has advised that the use of such commissions, and said proceeds for the conduct of a picnic is permissible.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes an annual Ingham County Picnic utilizing up to $700 from the Employee Benefit Account, for the Ingham County Picnics which are open to all Ingham County employees, managers, elected officials, and their guests.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Wellness Committee will annually assemble a Picnic Committee to determine the picnic arrangements.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Wellness Committee is authorized to make expenditures from the Employee Benefit Account up to the $700 limit and that the Board Chairperson and County Clerk are authorized to sign any contracts or other documents consistent with preparation for the picnic, subject to approval as to form by the County Attorney.
