INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT FOR CIVIL PROCESS SERVING

BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF INGHAM, INGHAM COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

AND COLIN CARNEGIE AND TRENTON TAYLOR

RESOLUTION #98-127

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office was in need of individuals to serve civil process beginning May 25, 1998; and

WHEREAS, Colin Carnegie and Trenton Taylor are retiring from the Ingham County Sheriff's Office and were interested in performing these duties; and

WHEREAS, meetings were held to discuss the arrangements which would occur through a contract with Colin Carnegie and Trenton Taylor and the County of Ingham; and

WHEREAS, an agreement was reached between the Sheriff and Colin Carnegie and Trenton Taylor.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes an agreement between the County of Ingham, Sheriff Wriggelsworth, and Colin Carnegie and Trenton Taylor to serve civil process.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Board of Commissioners authorizes the Ingham County Board of Commissioners' Chairperson, and the Sheriff to sign all necessary agreements.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the effective date of the agreement will be May 25, 1998 and shall remain in effect until December 31, 1998, or until termination by any party giving 30 day notice per Section 10 of the agreement subject to approval as to form by the County Attorney.
