INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION TO CONTRACT FOR JAIL DENTAL SERVICES

WITH DR. ROBERT HERRERA, D.D.S.

RESOLUTION #98-128

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office has been utilizing the services of Dr. Robert Herrera for dental care for inmates at the Ingham County Correctional Facility; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Herrera began providing these services in February, 1997, and has been working without a contract since that time; and

WHEREAS, the current working arrangement between Dr. Herrera and the Ingham County Sheriff's Office has been mutually agreeable.

WHEREAS, the Deputy Controller for Law & Courts/Human Services Committee has reviewed the agreement and recommended that it is in the best interest of the County.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approves the Jail Dental Services Agreement between Ingham County and Dr. Herrera.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Agreement with Dr. Herrera will begin upon execution and signing of this Agreement, and will remain in effect through 12/31/99 or until parties exercise their rights under the "Termination Clause" of the Agreement.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes Budgeting the make the necessary budget adjustments within the Ingham County Sheriff's Office budget.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Chairperson and County Clerk to sign all necessary contract documents consistent with this resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.
