RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF PROPOSAL AND ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT

FOR BLACKTOP AT THE INGHAM COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS



RESOLUTION #98-139



WHEREAS, the Ingham County Fairgrounds is in need of blacktopping; and



WHEREAS, $30,000 is budgeted in the 1998 Capital Improvements Plan and Budget for blacktopping; and



WHEREAS, proposals were solicited and evaluated by the Ingham County Purchasing and Properties Department, and it is their recommendation with concurrence of the Ingham County Fair Board to award a contract to Quinn Excavating & Paving, Inc., the firm submitting the lowest, responsive proposal.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby approves the award of proposal and authorizes entering into a contract with Quinn Excavating & Paving, Inc. for the blacktop in the amount of $25,328 at the Ingham County Fairgrounds.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the County Attorney to prepare the necessary documents with the Board Chairperson and County Clerk authorized to sign the same.
