RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE 1998 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS BUDGET, AND AUTHORIZE THE DRAIN COMMISSIONER TO PURCHASE THE LISTED BUDGETED EQUIPMENT

RESOLUTION #98-140

WHEREAS, the 1998 Capital Improvements Budget contains budgeted expenditures from Fund #639 (Drain Equipment Revolving Fund) in the amount of $10,000 for yard fencing, and the total amount of funds budgeted for capital projects in 1998 in Fund #639 is $194,250; and

WHEREAS, Fund #639 is used to support the maintenance of drains through the purchase of capital equipment which is identified during the budget process; and

WHEREAS, the Drain Commissioner has identified the capital projects to be purchased in 1998, of which computer, software and GIS equipment have been included.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby amends the 1998 Capital Improvements Budget from $1,596,308 to $1,780,558 to include the $184,250 currently budgeted in Fund #639 (Drain Equipment Revolving Fund).

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the 1998 Capital Improvements Budget shall be amended to include the following list of equipment to be purchased in accordance with the provisions of the Drain Equipment Revolving Fund:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution authorizes the purchase of the computer and software equipment as contained in the amended capital improvements plan.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the controller is hereby authorized to make the necessary adjustments to amend the capital improvements plan for 1998.
