RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE BUILDING REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE LINE ITEM TO THE SALARIES AND WAGES LINE ITEM IN THE FAIR BOARD BUDGET

RESOLUTION #98-146

WHEREAS, the Fair Board is in need of temporary help to complete summer work projects at the Fairgrounds; and

WHEREAS, the available pool of qualified personnel normally provided through the jail and the courts system to assist in these projects has been greatly reduced; and

WHEREAS, there are funds available to be transferred to cover the cost of hiring temporary employees to assist with the work at the Fairgrounds; and

WHEREAS, county budget policies require that transfers to or from the Personnel Cost Category cannot be made without prior approval of the Board of Commissioners.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners hereby authorize the transfer of $5,000 from the 1998 Fair Board budget's Building Maintenance and Improvements line item to the Salaries and Wages line item.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller is hereby authorized to make the necessary budget adjustments.
