INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION TO TRANSFER INGHAM COUNTY LIBRARY BOARD DONATIONS TO THE CAPITAL AREA DISTRICT LIBRARY

RESOLUTION #98-148

WHEREAS, the County Treasurer has custody of donations accumulated by the Ingham County Library; and

WHEREAS, the intentions and restrictions of the donors must be considered when expending these funds; and

WHEREAS, the Capital Area District Library has assumed the functions of the Ingham County Library.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that any Ingham County Library Board trust funds and general donations shall be transferred to the Capital Area District Library.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Capital Area District Library shall expend these donations as intended by the donors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Capital Area District Library shall notify any specific identified trust sources of this transfer.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that library building fund donations will be retained by the County Treasurer to be distributed for the intended purpose under the mutual direction of the Capital Area District Library and the benefitting community.
