RESOLUTION TO APPOINT DAVID L. DORA, D.O. AS A DEPUTY MEDICAL EXAMINER



RESOLUTION #98-149



WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners, under the authority of Public Act 181 of 1953, as amended, is responsible for appointing the County Medical Examiner, and with the approval of the Medical Examiner, may appoint Deputy Medical Examiners; and



WHEREAS, the Ingham County Health Department houses the Ingham County Medical Examiner's Office; and



WHEREAS, it is convenient to have a Deputy Medical Examiner in the Health Department at all times to sign cremation permits for funeral homes; and



WHEREAS, the County's contract for services with the College of Osteopathic Medicine provides that:



Physicians assigned to the Adult Health Clinic, who are also appointed as Deputy Medical Examiners by the Board of Commissioners, will review, make judgements, and sign cremation permits on behalf of the Medical Examiner.



WHEREAS, David L. Dora, D.O. has been assigned to the Adult Health Clinic; and



WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners has appointed Dean G. Sienko, M.D., M.S. as a Deputy Medical Examiner in Ingham County to a term expiring December 31, 1999; and



WHEREAS, Dr. Sienko is recommending that the Board of Commissioners hereby appoint David L. Dora, D.O. as a Deputy Medical Examiner.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners appoints David L. Dora, D.O. as an Ingham County Deputy Medical Examiner for the period of July 1, 1998 through December 31, 1999.
