RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AMENDED 1997-98 CHILD CARE BUDGET AND

CONTINGENCY FUND APPROPRIATION FOR THE FAMILY INDEPENDENCE AGENCY

RESOLUTION #98-174

WHEREAS, the Ingham County FIA has identified a significant increase in projected expenses from primarily a large increase in family foster care and residential placement costs for the 1997-98 Child Care Fund budget; and

WHEREAS, the FIA is requesting the Ingham County Board of Commissioners to increase their 1998 budget appropriation accordingly.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes submission of a revised Child Care Fund budget to the State with an increase in the FIA 1998 Child Care Fund budget by a total of $308,460, with the net County portion to increase by $154,776.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller is directed to transfer $154,776 from the 1998 Contingency Fund and to amend the 1998 FIA budget in accordance with this resolution.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson is authorized to sign any contractual documents consistent with this resolution upon review and approval as to form by the County Attorney.
