RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF COMPUTER EQUIPMENT,

TO AMEND THE 1998 BUDGET AND TO AMEND THE CPBC AGREEMENT



RESOLUTION #98-176



WHEREAS, the Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) contracts with Ingham County, through the Comprehensive Plan Budget and Contract (CPBC) agreement, to implement the Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program (BCCCP) in Ingham County; and



WHEREAS, the MDCH has advised the County that it will provide additional funds to upgrade and replace computers used in the County's BCCCP program in order to implement a new statewide MIS system for the BCCCP Program; and



WHEREAS, the Health Officer has recommended that the Board of Commissioners authorize an amendment to the 1997-98 CPBC agreement in order to accept the additional funds and to upgrade and replace the computer resources in the BCCCP Program.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes an amendment to the 1997-98 Comprehensive Plan Budget and Contract agreement with the Michigan Department of Community Health, originally authorized by Resolution No. 97-260.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the amendment will increase the revenue from the State of Michigan by $6,600.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County MIS Department Director is authorized to expend the $6,600 to upgrade and replace computer equipment serving the County's Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller is authorized to amend the Health Department's 1998 budget in order to recognize the CPBC agreement amendment and to implement this resolution.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson is authorized to sign the CPBC amendment after review by the County Attorney.
