INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION TO APPOINT A "PRIMARY VOTING MEMBER" AND AN "ALTERNATE" TO THE MICHIGAN ASSOCIATION FOR LOCAL PUBLIC HEALTH

RESOLUTION #98-20

WHEREAS, Ingham County is a member of the Michigan Association for Local Public Health, which serves as a professional, educational and advocacy organization supporting public health activities at the community level; and

WHEREAS, the Michigan Association for Local Public Health (MALPH) has recently reorganized and has established that Board of Directors shall be composed of one representative from each of the member health departments, to be appointed by the administrative board of the local health department (either the county board of commissioners or in the case of a district health department, the district board of health); and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners must appoint a voting representative to the MALPH Board of Directors and a Alternate; and

WHEREAS, the Health Officer has recommended that he be appointed as the Ingham County representative to the MALPH Board of Directors and that Dean Sienko, M.D., Medical Director, be appointed as the alternate to the MALPH Board of Directors.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners appoints Bruce B. Bragg as its representative to the Michigan Association for Local Public Health Board of Directors and appoints Dean G. Sienko, M.D. as the alternate.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that these appointments shall be effective January 1, 1998 and shall continue until changed by action of the Ingham County Board of Commissioners.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the notice of these appointments shall be conveyed to the President of the Michigan Association for Local Public Health, P.O. Box 13276, Lansing, Michigan 48933.
