RESOLUTION TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF WORK STUDY POSITIONS IN THE DRAIN COMMISSIONER'S OFFICE

RESOLUTION #98-222

WHEREAS, the Drain Commissioner's Office has identified a need to coordinate a project on the Red Cedar Corridor; and

WHEREAS, this is a joint effort with the Ingham County Environmental Health Department, and Michigan State University; and

WHEREAS, work study positions have been individualized by department and their particular needs, with departments requesting the number of positions needed as part of their annual budget request; and

WHEREAS, funds are budgeted in the Drain Commissioner's 1998 budget to cover the cost of one additional work study position through the end of the year, however the 1999 Budget only authorizes funds for two work study positions.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that an additional work study position be authorized in the Drain Office until the end of the 1998 fiscal year, December 31, 1998.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, any additional work study positions for the Drain Office will have to be requested during the 1999 fiscal year, as the recommended budget for 1999 only contains authorization for two positions.
