RESOLUTION TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF WORK STUDY POSITIONS IN
THE DRAIN COMMISSIONER'S OFFICE
RESOLUTION #98-222
WHEREAS, the Drain Commissioner's Office has identified a need to coordinate a project on the
Red Cedar Corridor; and
WHEREAS, this is a joint effort with the Ingham County Environmental Health Department, and
Michigan State University; and
WHEREAS, work study positions have been individualized by department and their particular needs,
with departments requesting the number of positions needed as part of their annual budget request;
and
WHEREAS, funds are budgeted in the Drain Commissioner's 1998 budget to cover the cost of one
additional work study position through the end of the year, however the 1999 Budget only authorizes
funds for two work study positions.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that an additional work study position be authorized in the Drain
Office until the end of the 1998 fiscal year, December 31, 1998.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, any additional work study positions for the Drain Office will have
to be requested during the 1999 fiscal year, as the recommended budget for 1999 only contains
authorization for two positions.
