RESOLUTION #98-235
WHEREAS, Ingham County and the City of Lansing have agreed to finance and construct a
Consolidated Courts facility, utilizing a Joint Building Authority; and
WHEREAS, the Joint Building Authority has selected the architect and construction management
team of Wigen, Tincknell, Meyer & Associates, Inc. and Clark Construction for the project; and
WHEREAS, the design phase is ready to begin; and
WHEREAS, funds will be needed in advance of the sale of bonds for design and other expenses
preliminary to construction; and
WHEREAS, Ingham County has reserved funds towards its share of the project costs; and
WHEREAS, the Joint Building Authority has requested an advance of funds to enable the beginning
of the project.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the
advance of $500,000 to the Joint Building Authority for design and other expenses preliminary to
construction.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that any expenses incurred by Ingham County will be counted
towards the county's share of the project, as contained in the cost sharing agreement between the
county and the city.
