RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE
CITY OF EAST LANSING FOR THE PROVISION OF 911
EMERGENCY TELEPHONE DISPATCH SERVICE FOR 1997/1998
RESOLUTION #98-36
WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners is currently contracting with the City of East Lansing for the Provision of 911 and Emergency Telephone Dispatch Service as authorized by Resolution 97-235; and
WHEREAS, with the recent merger of the Michigan State University Department of Public Safety dispatching function into the East Lansing 911 Center the workload and calls for service for the staff at the East Lansing 911 Center have increased; and
WHEREAS, the City of East Lansing has requested that the County amend the current contract to include the costs of an additional dispatcher for the remainder of the 1997/98 contract.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes amending the current 911 Emergency Telephone Dispatch Service Contract between the County and the City of East Lansing for the time period July 1, 1997 through June 30, 1998 from the base allocation of $858,890 to $880,661 or an increase of $21,771.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chairperson of the Ingham County Board of Commissioners and the County Clerk are authorized to sign any necessary contract documents consistent with this resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Controller to amend the appropriate budgets consistent with this resolution.
