RESOLUTION TO AMEND INGHAM COUNTY CAFETERIA PLAN



RESOLUTION #98-87



WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners has adopted a 125 Cafeteria Plan for its employees as per resolution 91-164; and



WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Plan to agree with collective bargaining agreements and to include additional employees.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the attached amendments are hereby adopted.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the effective date of these amendments are made retroactive to the original effective date of the plan.

125 CAFETERIA PLAN AMENDMENTS





The following amendments to the Ingham County 125 Cafeteria Plan are necessary to correct and update the Plan:



Article 1, Section 1.1 is amended to read:



1.1 "Administrator" means the Administrator described in Article 8.



Article 1, Section 1.10 is amended to read:



1.10 "Employee" means any person employed by the Employer including elected officials.



Article 2, Section 2.1 is amended to add:



c) or; is an employee assigned to the Capital Area District Library Authority.



The last paragraph of Article 2, Section 2.1 (will become eligible. . . works 20 hours . . . More than six months during any Plan Year.) is deleted and replaced with:



is eligible to participant in the Plan. However, the employee is not eligible for benefits under Article 6 (Dependent Care Assistance Benefits) and Article 7 (Medical Expense Reimbursement Benefits) until two months after the employee begins employment.



Article 2, Section 2.2 is amended to read:



2.2 Commencement of Participation. An Employee will become a Participant on the date he or she meets the eligibility requirements of Section 2.1.
