INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MIS DEPARTMENT TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE GREATER LANSING CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU, INC. TO PROVIDE PURCHASING, LAYOUT, DEVELOPMENT, INSTALLATION AND RELOCATION OF DATA SYSTEMS FOR THE BUREAU

RESOLUTION #98-89

WHEREAS, the Greater Lansing Convention & Visitors Bureau has expressed an interest in having the County assist in the provision of communication and data services for the Bureau; and

WHEREAS, the MIS Director has reviewed the feasibility of such an arrangement and is recommending that the County enter into an agreement which would allow for these services to be provided to the Bureau by the MIS department; and

WHEREAS, a multi-year agreement to continue providing the services is desirable.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the MIS Director to negotiate with the Greater Lansing Convention & Visitors Bureau, such terms and conditions as may be determined to be in the best interest of the County to provide the necessary purchase, layout, development, installation, and relocation of data systems for the Bureau.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon review by the County Controller and the County Attorney as to form, the Board Chairperson and the County Clerk are hereby authorized to sign a multi-year agreement for continuing data communication services.
