RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT AMENDMENT WITH PERCEPTICS CORPORATION TO DEVELOP, INSTALL, AND MAINTAIN FOR A PERIOD OF FIVE YEARS FOR THE CLERK'S VITAL RECORDS OPTICAL IMAGING SYSTEM



RESOLUTION #98-9



WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approved a contract with the Perceptics Corporation in Resolution number 94-127 passed July 26, 1994, to develop, install, and maintain for a period of five-year's an integrated computerized track/optical image system for the Register of Deeds Office; and



WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approved the development of a County Wide Area Computer Network in Resolution # 94-64 passed March 22, 1994; and



WHEREAS, a portion of the funding was included in the development of the County Wide Area Network included funding for the development of imaging projects for County departments.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approves a contract amendment with the Perceptics Corporation to develop, install, and maintain for a period of five years a Clerk's Vital Records Imaging System at a cost not to exceed $147,536.00.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the agreement should continue on a year to year basis for up to five years with the reimbursement amount to be determined at the point maintenance becomes an issue and the system is live.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller is authorized to amend the budget as necessary and to encumber the amount of these funds in the Network Budget and that the Board Chairperson is authorized to sign the contract agreement after review and approval by the County Attorney.
