RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A REPLACEMENT DOZER FOR THE INGHAM COUNTY DRAIN COMMISSIONER'S OFFICE FROM AIS CONSTRUCTION

RESOLUTION #99-004

WHEREAS, the 1998 Capital Improvement Plan included funds for the purchase of a dozer for the Drain Commissioner's Office; and

WHEREAS, said monies in Fund 639, Account 978000, have been carried forward to fiscal year 1999; and

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department solicited and evaluated proposals for a dozer which would meet the needs of the Drain Commissioner's Office and still remain within the budgeted amount; and

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department and the Drain Commissioner's staff have reviewed the proposals received and it is their joint recommendation that the used D41-6 Komatsu 1997 Dozer serial number B20784 be purchased from AIS Construction of Lansing, Michigan at a cost of $54,500 which includes the trade-in of a 1991 Komatsu Dozer.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the purchase of a D41-6 Komatsu 1997 Dozer from AIS Construction, Lansing, Michigan, at a cost of $54,500.00 and also authorizes the trade-in of one D31P Komatsu 1991 Dozer.
