RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT A DONATION FROM MR. RON ISHAM

TO PURCHASE CANINE BULLET PROOF VESTS

RESOLUTION #99-122

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office has four (4) canines used for law enforcement procedures; and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office canines are routinely placed in harm's way; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Ron Isham, as a concerned citizen, wants to donate the cost of bullet-proof vests for the canines; and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office is willing to accept a donation from Mr. Isham for the purchase of bullet-proof vests.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Ingham County Sheriff's Office to accept up to $2,714.80 from Mr. Isham for the purchase of four (4) canine bullet-proof vests.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Controller to make the necessary budgeting adjustments in the Sheriff's Office 1999 Budget to receive and expense this donation.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners and the Ingham County Sheriff's Office wishes to express their appreciation to Mr. Isham for his thoughtful donation to allow the Sheriff's Office to purchase the bullet-proof vests for the canines.
