RESOLUTION HONORING CAROLE LOCKETT



RESOLUTION #99-126



WHEREAS, Carole Lockett was employed with the Ingham County Health Department for the past 25 years as a Social Worker; and



WHEREAS, Carole was a valued employee and coworker in the Adult Health Clinic; and



WHEREAS, as an advocate for fairness, Carole was an exceptional ICEA representative and was behind the success of numerous Employee Recognition projects, she was recognized by fellow Committee members for her contributions; and



WHEREAS, as an active member of the AIDS Consortium, Carole used her experience and knowledge of health resources to help HIV/AIDS patients who needed specialty care and medicine; her work has helped assure that resources will continue to exist in the community; and



WHEREAS, Carole, a zoo enthusiast with a passion for nature, spent time at the Potter Park Zoo as a docent; and was also a strong supporter of the "Straight" program; and



WHEREAS, Carole passed away on April 27, 1999, her legacy will live on with those whose lives she has touched.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners recognizes the memory of Carole Lockett for her years of service and dedication with the County of Ingham and for her devotion to her family, patients and the citizens of Ingham County.
