RESOLUTION HONORING PATRICK PRICE, ADMINISTRATOR, CITY OF MASON



RESOLUTION #99-127



WHEREAS, Patrick Price began serving as the Administrator for the City of Mason on June 18, 1973; and



WHEREAS, Patrick oversaw the construction of the new City Hall in 1975, Fire Station No. 2 in 1976, and the recently completed Fire Station No. 1, in 1998; and



WHEREAS, under his leadership the Street Improvement Program was implemented, City Hall was computerized, the Downtown Development Authority was established, as well as the Mason Tree Commission, the Local Development Finance Authority, and Mason's Historic District; and



WHEREAS, under Patrick's guidance the tree removal, replacement and trimming program was started, Maple Grove Cemetery roads were paved, Laylin Park Ponds were dredged, the Wastewater Treatment Plan was expanded and later upgraded, and the City of Mason was awarded the Main Street Grant; and



WHEREAS, after 26 years of serving the residents of the City of Mason, Patrick Price will be retiring from his position as City Administrator on June 30, 1999.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honors Patrick Price for his many years of dedicated service as the Administrator of the City of Mason.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board recognizes the many contributions he has made and the countless hours he has devoted toward improving the quality of life for the citizens of the City of Mason and Ingham County.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board congratulates Patrick Price on his retirement and wishes him the best in the years to come.
