RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 99-133 WHICH AUTHORIZED THE SALE OF APPROXIMATELY 0.48 ACRES OF LAND TO COOK & SOMERVILLE HOLDINGS, LLC



RESOLUTION #99-153



WHEREAS, Cook & Somerville Holdings, LLC, has requested to purchase approximately 0.48 acres of County owned property adjacent to the jail. (Legal description as surveyed, "That part of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 5, T2N, R1W Vevay Township, Ingham County, Michigan, being described as: Commencing at the Northwest Corner of Section 5, T2N, R1W; thence S89'55'18'E, 1300.01 feet along the North line of Section 5; thence S00'34'55'E 1177.27 feet to the point of beginning of the following described parcel; thence S89'55'18'E 318.00 feet parallel with the North line of Section 5 to an extension of the East line of Kim Court; thence S00'34'55'E, 66.00 feet; thence N89'55'18'W 316.00 feet parallel with the North line of Section 5; thence N00'34'55'W 66.00 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 0.48 acres more or less and subject to any easements or restrictions of use or record."); and



WHEREAS, appraisals were obtained and Cook & Somerville Holdings has offered to pay the highest appraisal of $8,500.00.



WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has determined this parcel of property would serve no future benefit to the County.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the County of Ingham accept the proposal for $ 8,500.00 for the aforementioned parcel of land and monies be placed in the General Fund.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the County Controller, County Attorney and County Clerk's Offices are authorized to prepare and sign the necessary documents.
